Proper words in proper places, make the true definition of a style.
(Jonathan Swift, Letter to a Young Gentleman lately entered into Holy Orders)
Hello, and welcome to Logan's Runes. My name is Loganberry Brekytennion, and I am a lapine fur. If you don't know what I mean by that, or if you do know but for some insane reason want to find out more about me, then may I humbly suggest you visit the About Me page. =:)
Here on Logan's Runes, you will find a number of pieces of work that explore what it means to me to be a rabbit fur. (By Frith, that sounds pompous, doesn't it?) I'm particularly interested in writing, especially poetry, and so that is what forms the heart of the site. There aren't a huge number of furry writers by comparison with furry artists, and so I hope you'll find some of what I've written interesting and original. Naturally, I welcome all feedback on this or any other aspect of the site.
I mentioned artwork just now, and this is perhaps the best place to stress that I am most certainly not a talented artist of the sort that furry seems to produce in such numbers. Have a look at the Links section if that's what you're after. I have done the occasional scribble, but really no more than that. As I don't have the time to take both writing and drawing seriously, the former generally takes priority; however, one or two fine furry artists have been kind enough to express an interest in drawing my fursona, and you can see the results on the Artwork page. =:)
You'll also find here information and photographs relating to rabbiteering, which is a word coined (more or less accidentally) by me in the summer of 2003, and refers to the practice of watching, and more to the point simply being with, rabbits in the wild; this is something that means a great deal to me. There's also a copy of my latest Furvey, which is a longish questionnaire relating to various aspects of furriness, and is a common way for furs to explain about how they see themselves in this light. Oh, and a really rather terrible song. Well, the music is terrible, anyway; the lyrics aren't too bad. =:P
As you can see from the little buttons at the foot of the home page, some care has been taken to ensure that nearly every page on the site complies with the HTML 4.01 Strict standard, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium*. This, together with the site's general simplicity of layout, means that more or less any browser should work, although older versions will ignore the CSS code. And yes, I've even tried it (via the Browser Emulator page) on the Cern line-mode browser - and while ugly, it is useable!
* As the word "nearly" implies, I haven't been absolutely successful in this, and certain pages (for example the index page for A Leap in the Dark) don't quite comply as of the time of writing. I would like to fix this eventually, but in the meantime if any pages don't work properly on your particular browser, then please do let me know about it.
Finally... Logan's Runes is listed on Furtopia as having a PG rating. That means that while I won't shy away from discussing difficult topics in my work, and while I am writing for an intelligent adult audience, you can be certain that there is not, nor will there ever be, any yiffy content here.
